Spirit Nights at Chick-fil-A at Audubon
The ultimate EASY and FUN fundraiser!
“We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how ‘bout you?”
(1) An easy fundraiser!
Our goal is to make Spirit Nights an easy but effective fundraiser for your organization! As you will see below, there is little (but important) work involved! Yet, at the same time, Spirit Nights give an opportunity to raise some great money for your organization! Here?s how it works:
- During the hours of the Spirit Night (usually 5:00pm-8:00pm, any day Monday – Thursday, your organization receives between 5% - 10% of all sales (including drive through)!
- The percentage of sales is determined by the total sales between 5pm-8pm. If the store does below $2200 in sales your organization will receive 5% of the sales. If you do over $2200 your organization will receive 10% of the sales.
- NEW! We no longer provide the spinning wheel during the event. In
lieu of the wheel we will now donate „FREE Chick-fil-A for a year?,
an over $300 value, for you to raffle off. The prize consists of 52
FREE meal coupons. You may charge for raffle tickets, normally $1,
and sell the tickets even before the night and also during the night
to help raise money. We do not take any of the money raised
through the raffle. We can provide a registration box during the
Spirit Night as well as generic raffle tickets. Please just let us know
if you would like to do this and we will have everything prepared.
(2) Exposure for your organization
In addition to raising money, Spirit Nights give great exposure to your organization in our community! You are decorating our store, you are at the event…the community has the opportunity to check you out and see what you are about!
(3) A great opportunity to show and build spirit!
A Spirit Night is just that…an opportunity to show the spirit of your organization! Yet, Sprit Nights also create a great environment to build spirit for your organization! Picture everyone from your organization here at Chick-fil-A, eating, laughing, hanging out….SHOWING and BUILDING SPIRIT!
Here’s what you need to know to get started...
(1) Set a date!
- Choose a date that will work best for your organization! Make sure it doesn’t conflict or compete with games, practices, or other activities.
-Give yourself time to promote! (At least 3 weeks is strongly recommended.)
-Available dates are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays!
(2) Promote! Promote! Promote! The goal? To create “BUZZ”!
-Flyers: Get them into the hands of people / hang them up at least 1 week prior to event!
- We will create two flyers for you and email them to you:
(1)Small, hand out flyer (1/2 page size)
(2) Big, wall sign/poster flyer (8 ½ x 11 size)
- We encourage you to print the flyers out on neon-colored paper so that they
stand out!
- Cow Visit: That’s right…the official, one and only, Chick-fil-A Cow will come visit your organization!
- Get approval from our organization 2 weeks prior to event!
- Have members of our organization join the Cow in handing out flyers, promoting the event, and creating a “buzz” at the organization!
- Have them dress in their uniforms (if they are a team, etc.)
- Have plenty of flyers made to hand out during the appearance
- Announcements/Memos/Emails: The more the better!
- Send an organization-wide email or memo promoting the event
- Make sure the event is on the “daily announcements”
- Have the event announced at assemblies/gatherings
- Put flyers (or memos) in all mail boxes
- Be sure to include the details on the flyer!
(3) Invite! Invite! Invite! The goal? To get people there!
- Personal Invitations:
- Personally invite key organization members – teachers, staff, administrators,
etc.!
- Personally invite all parents of organization members!
- Require that all members be at the event* - players, coaches, leaders, etc.!
- Plan to have your organization perform at the Spirit Night in some way! Example: Cheerleaders – do a cheer; Band – play a song
- This will create “buzz” in the store on the night of the event and will help promote your organization!
*Or at least half of the event.
- Remember: the more people in the store on the night of your Spirit Night, the more funds you will raise
(4) Decorate! Decorate! Decorate! The goal? TO SHOW YOUR SPIRIT!
- Have members of your organization come to our store 1-2 hours before the event to decorate the store!
- We encourage you to go crazy and have fun with decorating!
- Some ideas: Posters, balloons, streamers, etc.!
(5) Have…Fun! Fun! Fun! The goal? TO HAVE FUN!
- A spirit night isn’t a success unless you are having lots of fun!
(6) Think about scheduling your NEXT Spirit Night!
- We allow organizations to hold Spirit Nights up to 2-3 times per year!
